Who You'll Join


A defense and space company is industrializing advanced composite materials for defense and aerospace manufacturing. They are building the software stack that runs a physical factory, from raw material intake to finished part, at scale. If you want your code to touch the real world, this is the role.


What You'll Do


  • Develop a bespoke operating system that ties together supply chain, quoting, pricing, and inventory management into a single coherent product.
  • Create a simulation layer that uses factory-floor data to further train and refine AI models.
  • Take full ownership of automation software that continuously collects and processes live telemetry from production machinery.
  • Keep a round-the-clock digital twin of the production line running and up to date.
  • Architect backend systems that model the physical-world relationships and logic spanning an entire high-volume manufacturing facility.
  • Set your own priorities, drive problems to resolution from start to finish, and deliver in an environment without a dedicated PM or QA function.


Who You Are


  • Brought full-stack features all the way to live users at a high-velocity startup over at least two years.
  • Shaped what to build, not just executed a backlog handed to you by others.
  • Based in Los Angeles, or genuinely ready to relocate for a 5-day on-site role.
  • Former founder, co-founder, or early engineer at a startup touching the physical world.
  • Write TypeScript on the frontend and Python or Go on the backend.
  • Hungry and high-agency. Real ownership early in your career counts more than a long CV.
  • Bonus: Experience with manufacturing software, CAD, computational geometry, simulation, or data engineering.
