About the role

Who you'll join

A profitable, fast-growing consumer app company with two top-ranked App Store apps is bringing its mobile experience to the web. The engineering team is small, around 12 engineers, and the work is technically serious: high-frequency purchase flows, complex transaction infrastructure, and a real obsession with craft. This is a rare chance to set the standard for an entirely new platform at a company that already has the audience.

What you'll do

  1. Build the web version of a top-ranked collectibles trading app from scratch.
  2. Own the full web stack end to end, from infrastructure to UI.
  3. Define React standards and best practices for the web platform.
  4. Work with backend engineers on API and data model design.
  5. Build and improve internal tools and dashboards used daily by the team.
  6. Implement motion, micro-interactions, and responsive layouts that feel native.
  7. Set the architectural foundation for future Android development.

Who you are

  1. Bring 5+ years of fullstack or frontend-focused engineering experience.
  2. Have shipped consumer-facing products with complex purchase or transaction flows.
  3. Write code that others can build on, not just code that ships.
  4. Care deeply about craft, not just output: you notice when something feels wrong.
  5. Have opinions about technical trade-offs and can explain them clearly.
  6. Come from a consumer, marketplace, or fintech background where quality actually mattered.
  7. Bonus: have worked with React Native, motion libraries, or A/B testing frameworks.

Tech stack

React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React Native, performance optimization tools, design systems, motion libraries, A/B testing frameworks

Why you'll thrive

  1. Join a 12-person engineering team at a profitable, high-growth company with real scale.
  2. Own a greenfield platform with no inherited debt and full architectural authority.
  3. Work directly with an engineering leader who has a mobile-first product background.
  4. Earn up to $400K base + equity at a profitable, high-growth business.
  5. Build systems handling high-frequency, real-money transactions across two live products.
