Senior Software Engineer

Location: an Francisco, CA (In person)

Salary: up to $250,000 + up to 1.5% equity

Who You'll Join

Three founders with generations of family history in food, seafood importing, spice trading, and restaurant chains are building AI agents that don't assist people with their jobs; they own the job function entirely. Their first agent already reads inbound orders across email, text, phone, and fax, and writes them straight into a distributor's ERP at 99% accuracy across $10M+ in monthly orders. Backed by Penny Jar Capital, Scribble Ventures, and Formation VC, with customers ranging from regional distributors to billion-dollar food businesses.

What You'll Do

1. Design and ship production AI agents that run operational workflows end to end
2. Build full stack features in TypeScript, NestJS, and React
3. Build human-in-the-loop systems where every correction a user makes feeds straight back into the agent's next run
4. Build customer service agents that classify inbound messages and either draft a reply or escalate to a human
5. Build features like recurring orders on custom cadences, shipped 0 to 1
6. Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform, blue-green CI/CD, and microservices architecture
7. Own production incidents from detection through resolution

Who You Are

1. 5-7 years in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and React in production
2. Built and shipped at least one AI agent beyond the prototype stage
3. Deployed applications on AWS serving real traffic
4. Come from a startup background, having owned a product end to end
5. Comfortable speaking directly with customers in plain language
6. Ready to work six days a week, on site, while the company builds toward its next raise
7. Bonus: experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agent frameworks
