Forward Deployed Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA, 5 days/week in office
Salary: $200K - $325K + Offers Strong Equity

Who You'll Join
A Series B AI infrastructure company automating manual workflows across enterprise teams. Serval has product-market fit and is already trusted by Fortune 100 companies like General Motors, Ramp, and Vercel. You'll join a 15-person engineering team shipping real product that solves concrete operational problems.
What You'll Do
- Build production systems for strategic customer deployments, turning complex requirements into scalable implementations.
- Design and implement backend services and APIs that expand the platform's capabilities.
- Own technical delivery from architecture through launch, scaling, and ongoing optimization.
- Translate customer pain points and edge cases into reusable product features.
- Write code on the core platform daily while partnering with customers on high-impact deployments.
- Partner directly with customers, sales, and engineering teams to move from idea to production.
- Help shape a new function from the ground up with clear ownership and visibility.
Who You Are
- Strong technical foundation with at least one year of professional software engineering experience.
- Comfortable writing backend code and shipping production systems with high standards.
- Able to communicate clearly with enterprise customers and represent the company professionally.
- Interested in learning how enterprise customers think and work.
- Driven to solve real problems and iterate quickly in an early-stage environment.
- Bonus: Background from a strong university, early-stage startup, or VC-backed fellowship program.
